Lucayan Technology LLC is hiring a Network LAN/WAN Administrator to support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Information Technology Enterprise Operations and Maintenance Contract (IT EOM). USSOCOM requires comprehensive worldwide information technology (IT) support to operate and maintain the Special Operations Forces (SOF) Information Enterprise (SIE).


General duties include:

Candidates for the Network Administrator position must be excellent analytical thinkers and problem solvers, as well as effective communicators. They need a broad understanding of transport, services, network defense, and experience working with associated, hardware and software systems, including their installation, maintenance, and life cycles. Candidates must be self-starters with excellent organizational and listening skills and knowledgeable in industry-standard hardware and software development practices to eliminate stove-piped development throughout the enterprise.


Responsibilities
  • Performs tier one and two network support in accordance with the SIE Operations Order
  • Provide administration of network and communications systems, including, but not limited to, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems.
  • Responsible for creating monitoring reports and managing equipment logs, as well as ensuring the functionality of links.
  • Coordinates network administration and performance requirements with other members of the networking team.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and documents long-range requirements, and administers resources related to the enterprise network.
  • Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions, including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.
  • Researches applicable standards and requirements documents to assure network compliance.
  • Plans for and provides reasonable responsiveness in network performance (e.g., availability, reliability, throughout).
  • Prepares activity and progress reports for the Government regarding network performance initiatives.
  • Administers operation of LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance, connectivity and related network problems.
  • Administers LAN/WAN security and malware control measures.

Requirements

  • Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • Education Requirements: None
  • Certification Requirements:
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II *AND• CCNA
  • OR• CC DevNet Associate
  • OR• Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA)
  • Minimum of four years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in implementing, administering, performing testing, and analyzing network systems;
  • Experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies
  • Microsoft Office Suite; Comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components.
