If you have solid Linux, network and HPC/Grid experience, you will have the opportunity to gain experience as part of an important team, with colleagues in Munich, Austin and other locations. Semiconductor industry experience is a plus, but not required, so if you have related technical skills, this position will allow you grow your career in the microelectronics industry. For this position, you must be able to work in a hybrid work model by being local to area with the flexibility to report to the Austin site a few days per week. In your new role you will: Design, build and run of physical/virtual Unix systems and services within our global Linux server farm environments (HPC/Grid environment) Administration and support of Storage related infrastructure Drive further automation/optimization in the Linux server farm environment Performance Analysis, Tuning and Troubleshooting Support/Consulting for our internal customers on architectural design/concepts/implementation Proactive Monitoring/Reporting Planning of system resources in interaction with internal customer Ensuring compliance with security guidelines Close cooperation with other teams in IT and EDA support organization First/Second Level Support including On Call You are best equipped for this task if you have: Bachelor Degree in computer science or related field 6+ years demonstrable experience in system administration/operations and support of a HPC/Grid environment (EDA related complex environment as a plus) Ideal candidate will have semiconductor industry experience, but we are open to technical experience in other industries Effective analytical abilities - descend into applications and flows with little guidance to address performance and reliability issues OS: Linux (Redhat/Ubuntu/Centos) Storage: Netapp, Pure, Rubrik, CEPH S3 & GPFS as a plus Networking: Understanding of Datacenter network architecture and troubleshooting capabilities Scripting: Shell, Perl, Python Automation Framework: Puppet/Foreman, Ansible, Rundeck as a plus Batch queueing systems such as LSF or Slurm as a plus Able to work independently as well in team projects on global scale Communication skills and capability to effectively communicate with user community
