  • Responsible for Linux (Red Hat & Amazon Linux) servers supporting company-wide critical applications in a virtualized, physical and AWS environment.
  • Prepare for new product related releases and assists with new initiatives and upgrades.
  • Explore and integrate new technologies, transitioning operations from traditional administration and deployment to infrastructure as application leveraging automation/configuration management technologies.
  • Deploying Linux on Virtual machines, Physical cisco blades and AWS environment.
  • Overall system administration and management (problem, change, etc.)  Testing, implementing, and upgrading operating system software releases
  • Support the 24/7 support model through an on-call support rotation and partnership with the offshore Shared Services team.
  • Daily maintenance/administration of multiple Unix systems.
  • Performance monitoring and capacity management of systems.
  • Troubleshooting, resolution, and root cause analysis of the incidents.
  • Provide high-tier support for infrastructure issues, accepting and processing tickets logged via the Service Management platform (ServiceNow).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the UNIX Manager

Job Requirements *

  • Candidates must have minimum 5+ years of experience working in technical operations and architectural in a systems administrator role
  • Expert knowledge of Red Hat Linux systems administration in a virtual and AWS Infrastructure. Experience with administration of AIX systems is a plus.
  • Scripting skills using Unix scripting toolkits (bash, sed, awk, Python etc)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and system documentation skills.
  • Implementing and supporting management tools (Satellite etc.)
  • Experience with RedHat Satellite for OS and patch management.
  • Experience and working knowledge of deployment and distribution automation tools (Puppet Preferred / Ansible)
  • Experience with Commvault backup and restore Tool.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulation and PCI standards requirement for compliance certification of OS.
  • Experience with tenable vulnerability and compliance tools.
  • In depth knowledge on RedHat Pacemaker Or any other clustering solution. 
  • AWS infrastructure knowledge is plus
  • Candidate with working experience in Linux environment consisting, VMware on UCS Platform, RedHat on Cisco UCS blade and AWS platform is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred
  •  Equivalent work experience in Computer Science or a related field will be considered
  • Redhat Certification is plus (RHCSA/RHCE)
