Network Engineer Position Purpose The Network Engineer is responsible for the technical specification evaluations and recommendations for the enterprise’s networks. This encompasses all areas of enterprise-wide connectivity, both analog and digital, that will include system configuration, troubleshooting, security, and resource monitoring to support the corporate business plan. Problems and Challenges The Network Engineer is challenged with the successful operation of the enterprise’s voice and data communications networks at all times. The loss of network communications at any time presents an opportunity to save the enterprise lost operational capability by quickly and efficiently repairing the network. The importance of network interconnectivity between the enterprise’s main headquarters and it cannot be understated, and the Network Engineer must strive to maintain 100% “up-time” on these network connections.
